Howdy! My name is Joe Chastain. I’ve been researching and reading about my Chastain family history for over ten years. My dream is to one day turn this all into a book.

Until then, I’ll be writing here, slowly and very imperfectly, as I figure it all out. I’ll likely revisit and expand earlier posts even as I keep moving forward with the story. I’m viewing this kind of like a rough draft for the book.
